Early Sukhothai pottery covered bowl with a coarse grey-brown, speckled stoneware body, with an underglaze black-brown oxide design. The bowl has alternating decorations of abstract flowers with birds, vertical lines and cross hatching lattice work. The knob on the top of the lid has a pumpkin shape design outlined in a darker brown with a curved stem. See photos for further details.

Condition: Excellent condition for age, and has no breaks, cracks or missing pieces, with only an old slight separation on one side. The bowl is very sound, and is of museum quality.
