This old 1 1/2" tall circular tin pin cushion has a base diameter measurement of 2 1/2" and a purple velvet cushioned lid that has a circular mirror on its underside. The base is made of a glossy black embossed cardboard; the interior is lined with a bright pink cardboard and "Made in Japan" is stamped on the outer tin. The pin cushion is in good condition with the exceptions of very light color wear on the base, light scratches and discoloration marks on the tin, light marks and clouding on the mirror, and light fading and pin holes on the velvet. Also included are nine 15/16" long red wooden pegs (I don't know what they were used for), in very good condition, and the following ten pins: 1) a 3 7/8" long old amethyst glass button head pin, in good condition with the exception of a slight bend in the pin portion; 2) a 3 1/16" long black cloth head pin, in good condition; 3) a 3 1/8" long tear drop cobalt blue glass head pin, in fair condition with a chipped base of the head and rust on the pin portion; 4) a 3 3/8" long large tear drop black glass pin, in good condition with the exception of rust on the pin portion; 5) a 3 1/4" long large teardrop black glass pin, in good condition with the exceptions of rust on the upper portion of the pin and a small chip on the base of the head; 6) a 3 1/4" long large teardrop white lustre plastic head pin, in good condition with the exception of a little rust band on the upper pin portion; and 7-10) four 3" long assorted teardrop (two black, one tan, and one pink lustre) plastic head pins, in good condition with the exceptions of heavy rust on the pink's pin portion, and a spot of rust on one black pin. As a bonus, I'm including five 15/16" abalone buttons, in very good condition, and ten 3/4" x 3/4" x 5/16" antique plastic matching buttons, in very good condition with the exceptions of two light marks on one. Please look at the other antique sewing collectibles I have listed (I'm always glad to combine shipping), and feel welcome to send me an e-mail with any questions you may have before placing a bid, or if the pictures are not appearing.
