Very unusual Art Deco glass ink well. It is made of pressed glass, the lid molded in the shape of a stylized horse head. The jar is disc shaped with ribbed perimeter and a lipped top rim. The lid appears to be either enamelled in black, or has a thin black glass layer fused over white glass, we are not sure which. There is a small, shallow rectangular notch on the underside rim of the lid at the base of the horse's mane, we are not sure of its purpose. The jar is made of clear glass with thin surface layer of white glass or enamel. The bottom is clear. A wonderful collectible decorative. NOTE: additional photos available upon request.

Condition:  Excellent used. The lid has few very tiny surface nicks on the lowest rim, which are hardly visible. There is a tiny fleebite on the corner of the underside rectangular notch, again hardly visible. The jar has three small fleebite on the ribbing. There are some flowlines and minor surface imperfections, but these are from the manufacturing process. Not cleaned, left as found. There is some dusty grime in the folds of the sculpture.
