Antique Victorian Black Pressed Horn Brooch











Description

A very sweet Victorian mourning brooch which I believe is made from pressed horn, a material commonly used to imitate jet at the time. Extended pinstem with an unusual hinge design - this fastening is pinned into the back of the brooch which is rough, typical of pressed horn.

Still a very chic item!

Condition: Appears excellent, no damage - Clasp works perfectly.

Measurements: 1 3/8" by 1 1/8" or 3.5cms by 2.8cms.

Please note: This item ends on November 8th - I will be on vacation from the 11th for a week. Payment by Tuesday 10th will ensure quick delivery otherwise there will be a delay in shipment of one week - thanks for your understanding!
