Lovely, original (not reproduction), antique interior door set consisting of 2 copper plated steel knobs, 2 copper plated pressed steel escutcheons, 1 mortise lock with copper-plated steel faceplate, 1 working key, and 1 spindle with 2 setscrews.

The knobs and escutcheons are adorned with vine motifs. At the point of salvage they were a dark brown color. After we cleaned them, they regained their original color. We left some of the patina in the crevices to promote the raised details.

This set is in incredible condition! All parts are free of breaks, cracks, chips, and heavy scratches. Normally, after decades of usage, the plating on the knobs diminishes only a small amount appear to have a classic design featuring beads, shells, and foliage. They have a nice patina, which we opted to leave.The lock was disassembled, all parts were individually cleaned and greased; the lock was put back together, and now operates smoothly. A key was especially made for this lock. We could make additional keys for $3 each. Let us know after the auction if you would like more.
