This is an example of the damage on the top. There is one more spot like this on the other side These knobs contrast beautifully with the lighter mahogany. Each drawer features hand-cut dovetails.
     This exquisite mahogany chest of drawers was originally crafted during the Victorian period in England, around 1890. The mahogany looks absolutely incredible, with a very well developed patina, rich color, and intricate grain. As you can see from the pictures, it really looks great, even after more than 100 years! The drawers each feature hand-cut dovetailed joints (a sign of high-quality craftsmanship) as well as turned knob pulls. This chest sits on elegant splayed feet, which are very strong and should continue to remain so for many years to come. Overall, the condition of this piece is good. The quality of the wood is extremely high and really looks great, but there have clearly been some minor repairs. There are a few places (on the top) where the wood has been patched, but these flaws don't really stand out that badly. The piece looks amazing and would certainly make a lovely addition to any home, so don't miss your opportunity to own this stunning Victorian period chest of drawers today!
