This is a well illustrated tome with pictures of the traditional tools and their usage and of traditional frames and their making and assembly, and of course, of the framing process.

Great illustrations, wonderful explanations, and the careful and considered words one would expect from a kindly and skilled craftsman tutoring you.

Faults? Nope, unless you consider the lack of a “how to use power tools” a fault.

We all loved this one, enough in fact, that we have given away our modern frame clamps and are in the process of making a couple of clamp sets / types from the designs in the book.

This is a wonderful book and worth reading for ideas, history, methods, and skills, whether you are a modern frame-maker or a hobbyist who loves to make historical artifacts or reproductions.
