Antique quack electric medical device Sharp & Smith

Hello up for auction I have I think part of an old quack medical device, or some sort of other device possibly for an early tube radio. This was made by Sharp & Smith who also made surgical tools back to the time of the civil war. The numbered inner dial plate has the name of F. Geiger on it.  I think this is a transformer, that turns 110 volts into 4Volts ,100 amps. This had a lose wire which I extended and reconnected. According to my ohm meter there are no shorts and this should still work.  I did not try it so there are no guarentees. This probably could fry a chicken in it's day. This has a big round copper coil in it with a very thick copper coil around the inner coil and an arm that touches the top of the thick coil for ajustments, as it is  bare. This comes in an old well made wood box.  Thanks for looking!!!!
