"PRACTICAL EXERCISES IN MUSIC READING"
For Singing Schools - Day Schools
Institutes and Normals
*******************************
This is an antique collectible pamplet/book that was used for "music" training. Wouldn't this be a great gift for your "music" teacher?
This pamplet has 28 pages and was published by the Brethren Publishing House in Elgin, Illinois. It was composed by George B. Holsinger. The name of the book is noted above. The copyright states 1908. The book measures 6" x 8 1/2". The inside of the book is in mint condition. The front page of the book has the name of the owner of the book written in pencil. (I believe it could be erased with no problem.) The front also has one small wrinkle. The page cover and a few pages has an indentation from a paper clip, also.
This book has explanations and definitions, some of which are: scales, tones, chords, measures, keys, etc. It explains major and minor scales. It gives all the musical terms. It also has music reading exercises. It continues to go into songs, always teaching.
Thanks for looking!
