These were used by the Quaker Lace Textile Company, a major factory in Pennsylvania beginning in the late 1800's. This particular one is spun in Fawn colored yarn and measures roughly 7" long w/ ends that are, on average, 2" across. A few still have wonderfully chippy paint on the end.
These are actual antiques used on old machines so there may be traces of machine oil or other smudges on the thread!
