Apollo 16 Moonwalker Charlie Duke Autographed Lunar EVA Photograph! Mint!

Air Force veteran Charlie Duke was a Group 5 1966 astronaut selection. He served as backup for Apollo 13 (and infected Ken Mattingly with measles and changed the crew assignment) and was chosen as Apollo 16 Lunar Module Pilot. Apollo 16 was the fifth successful lunar landing and the second to last lunar flight of the Apollo program. The flight featured veteran John Young, Commander, Ken Mattingly, Command Module Pilot, and Charlie Duke, Lunar Module Pilot. Young and Duke would go on to be two of only 12 men who have walked on the moon. Duke also served as the Houston Capcom during the landing of Apollo 11.

Item is an 8 X 10" color photograph of Duke working beside the lunar rover during a lunar EVA. Due to the eons of solar wind and micro-meteor bombardment all of the moon’s geology have a rounded feature to them. You can see this in the distant hill behind Duke. You can also see footprints in the lunar soil that will be there for millions of years. He has boldly signed the picture, "Charlie Duke, Apollo 16 LMP." The photograph is in mint condition, no cuts, tears, folds or discolorations of any kind. This would be a perfect picture for framing and would make a stunning display piece for your home or office.
