This is an excellent guide to early 80s personal computers by two well known writers of the era (Stan Veit and Tim Hartnell).

It gives very complete detailed information including price on most of the personal computers around in 1983. More than half with pictures. To give you an idea of what is included just read the partial list of which computers include pictures.
