The eMate 300 Memory upgrade:
Increases the internal memory approximately 4X its original
Web/Internet access is faster as more heap memory is available
The snap-in module changes the flash data bus from 16 bit to 32 bit widening the data path
Consists of 2mb FlashRam and 1 MB DRAM
For Comparision below there are benchmark results from a non-upgraded eMate as well as one with the memory upgrade:
Non-Upgraded:
Interpreted 200 ms idle = 127 seconds
Interpreted flat out = 127 seconds
Interpreted flat out without display = 84 seconds
Native 200 ms idle = 211 seconds
Native flat out = 207 seconds
Native flat out without display = 150 seconds
Memory Upgrade Installed:
Interpreted 200 ms idle = 88 seconds: 144% faster
Interpreted flat out = 85 seconds: 149% faster
Interpreted flat out without display = 53 seconds: 158% faster
Native 200 ms idle = 121 seconds: 174% faster
Native flat out = 123 seconds: 168% faster
Native flat out without display = 80 seconds: 188% faster
