The airport card will allow your iBook to connect to the internet, or any wireless network that supports 802.11b. This means that you can surf the internet at coffee shops, malls, etc.

This basestation has 3 ports. One 56k modem for your dial-up connection, one power port (power adapter will be included), and one ethernet port which can be used for high speed connections as well as bridging your networks!
If you live outside of the city (like me!) then you probably have to live with a slow dial-up connection. All of the routers I can find in stores like best buy, staples, walmart, etc. use ethernet or some other high speed access port. Here is a basestation that can use your dial-up connection and broadcast it throughout your home or office to multiple computers! There is nothing quite like having the freedom to take your laptop all over the place and still have the internet connection!
The ethernet port on this computer can be used in many different ways. The pictures below show some of the ways that you can use this basestation. You can use it to create wireless networks between computers. Share your itunes music library between every computer wirelessly! Share your iphoto's between your computers! Share files and chat thru ichat. This basestaton is a very handy product! Apple, as usual, did a great job designing this basestation.
This basestation also is WEP security enabled... so you can protect your network with a name and password!
If you buy one of these airport cards + basestation packages from me, it comes with a 30 day warranty. This means that if it stops working (unless of course it was dropped or abused, etc.) I will send you a replacement basestation (or card) after receiving the failed one(s) back.
