Being somewhat of a novice with aquariums this book has all the information we need to succeed. It is not always possible to consult with an aquarium specialist so having this book is an excellent resource for problem solving and also for planning for our future purchases. We recently acquired an infestation of a parasite in our tanks and this book has helped so much in resolving the health of our tanks.

By far the best comprehensive fish encyclopedia I have seen thus far. It gives a great general description of thousands of fish, and nearly all descriptions are enough to take great care of of new or unknown fish to the hobbyist.
