Ares was SPI's magazine for science Fiction and Fantasy Games. Each issue included a game.
Ares #4 featured Arena of Death - Heroic Combat in the Fantasy World of DragonQuest. Arena of Death is a stand alone adventure using the combat system from DragonQuest. Gladiatorial combat in a fantasy setting! Players assume the roles of fighters in the arena being pitted against each other and against fearsome beasts over the course of a number of combats. Combats last until only dead or mutually friendly characters remain. Indiviual combats can be played as stand alone games or as part of a complete campaign lasting until one character fullfills the given victory conditions. The magazine\game rules (white pages some aging with no marks, highlighting, etc.), map (17" x 22" excellent), and 100 unpunched counters (excellent, nicely centered) are in excellent or better condition. The cover of the magazine looks great with the "main flaw" being some slight spine stress marks.

Rules:
An e-mail response is required within three days from the end of the auction. Your mailing address, if insurance is wanted and a statement of how you intend to pay needs to be included in the e-mail. Funds are due within ten days from the ending date of the auction. Auction win may be cancelled and the item relisted if these requirements are not met.
I take checks (which must clear prior to shipping), money orders, and PayPal. I will combine items for shipping charging only for actual shipping plus only one handling fee (the highest handling charge among those listed for the items being shipped). Insurance will be required to all purchasers (foreign and domestic) using PayPal, but not having a PayPal verified address (other forms of payment avoid this situation). I ship via USPS. Within the United States for this item I charge actual shipping plus a $1.50 handling fee or if desired can ship Media Mail for $4.25 (including all shipping and handling). Outside the United States I charge actual shipping plus a $4.00 handling fee (for handling, packing, filling out customs forms, and consulting the USPS for the best shipping method). Frequently, I save money for my buyers by buying postage online. Please email me with any questions.
I am not responsible for loss or damage of items resulting from handling by the United States Post Office... buy the optional Postal Insurance if you are concerned about possible damage from mailing. Insurance cost is based on cost of item(s) purchased.
