Mohave County is located in the northwest corner of Arizona, bordering Nevada, Utah, and California. Much of the county is desert; however, since it includes Lake Mohave, Lake Havasu, and the Colorado River, it has 1,000 miles of shoreline for water sports enthusiasts. It is also home to the largest stretch of historic Route 66. Kingman, AZ, which is the county seat, has a lot to offer its residents and visitors. It is located along Interstate 40 between the Hualapai and Cerbat mountain ranges, making it an attractive valley. Due to it’s proximity to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, the Grand Canyon, and the Santa Fe railroad’s mainline, it is an industrial hub for northwestern Arizona. Kingman serves as a playground for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages, history buffs, and retirees. The previously mentioned 1,000 miles of shoreline and surrounding mountains provide ample opportunities for water sports, hiking, camping, and hunting. At 3,336 feet above sea level, the climate here is ideal. For families and the growing retiree population, Kingman offers reasonable housing costs, a thriving work force, several schools, a community college, museums, swimming pools, a library, tennis courts, and golf courses.
