THIS 78 YEAR OLD YEARBOOK DOES AN OUTSTANDING JOB IN PRESENTING A BYGONE YEAR IN THE LIFE OF ONE OF AMERICA'S OLDEST AND GREATEST MILITARY INSTITUTIONS, AS WELL AS BRINGING TO LIGHT THE DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES IN THE LIVES OF HUNDREDS OF YOUNG MEN WHO WERE CADETS AT WEST POINT WELL BEFORE MANY OF US WERE BORN. CADET LIVES WERE BLOSSOMING AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WORST DEPESSION THIS COUNTRY HAD KNOWN, A DEPRESSION WHICH WOULD END MANY YEARS LATER WITH THE BEGINNING OF A SECOND WORLD WAR. AND WHILE MANY THINGS HAVE CHANGED IN THE YEARLY AND DAY-TO-DAY LIVES OF WEST POINT AND ITS CADETS SINCE 1930, SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE

THIS OVERALL CONDITION OF THIS WONDERFUL YEARBOOK IS FAR ABOVE AVERAGE. ITS HARDBACK COVERS SHOW VIRTUALLY NO WEAR, ITS SPINE IS IN GREAT CONDITION, HAVING NO TEARS AND ONLY MINIMAL SHELF WEAR, AND ITS BINDING IS TIGHT. OF THIS BOOK'S 496 NUMBERED PAGES, NO PAGES ARE LOOSE, MISSING, STAINED, OR WRITTEN ON, AND EACH INSIDE PAGE IS MADE OF A THICK PAPER WHICH HAS RETAINED ITS OFF-WHITE COLOR AND SHOWS NO EVIDENCE OF AGING. (I APOLOGIZE FOR MY BLURRY PHOTOS, BUT I AM NO ANSEL ADAMS. AND MY PHOTO OF THE BOOK'S SPINE MAKES THE BOTTOM PORTION APPEAR TORN, HOWEVER THE YEARBOOK IS SITTING ON A TOWEL WHICH JUST MAKES IT APPEAR THAT WAY. THERE REALLY IS NO PROBLEM THERE. AND LASTLY, THE DISCOLORATION SHOWING NEAR THE BOTTOM LEFT OF THE SPINE IS GREATLY OVEREXAGGERATED BY MY FLASH)
THIS YEARBOOK WILL MAKE A GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR WEST POINT COLLECTION, AND WHILE SITTING ON A COFFEE TABLE IT WILL ATTRACT MANY VIEWERS. IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY, THIS IS REALLY AN OUTSTANDING YEARBOOK.
THIS VERY LARGE AND VERY HEAVY YEARBOOK MEASURES SLIGHTLY MORE THAN 12" IN HEIGHT, SLIGHTLY MORE THAN 9" IN WIDTH, AND SLIGHTLY LESS THAN 2" IN THICKNESS, AND IT COMES FROM A SMOKE FREE, PERFUME FREE, AND COLOGNE FREE HOME.
GOOD BIDDING, GOOD LUCK, AND THANK YOU FOR LOOKING.
I am neither a professional photographer nor an accomplished grader, however what my pictures lack in detail and what my grading knowledge just simply lacks, my description of an item up for bid will more than compensate for my shortcomings as both a photographer and grader, as I do recognize different degrees of wear and use when I see it, and will communicate same to you. And because I am ultra-conservative when it comes to telling you of an item's drawbacks, if any, my descriptions may be relied upon to be accurate, detailed, and overly conservative. Still, should you have a question, please ask well in advance of the close of an auction in order that I might have sufficient time to respond to that question, to the best of my ability.
The winning bidder is asked to contact this seller within three business days after bidding closes to confirm his/her method of payment. Should this not be done, the transaction may be considered null and void by the seller, with the item in question relisted for sale.
I will refund your bid amount, in the form of a personal check, should I inadvertently or unintentionally misrepresent the condition of any item up for auction. I ask that you contact me within 3 days of receiving the item, that the item be returned within 7 days of your having received it, and that you return the article, at my expense, in the same condition you received it.
To assure clearance, payments made via personal checks may (or may not) delay shipping up to 10 business days from the date I deposit your check. I generally deposit mailed in payments on Fridays, and ship on Wednesdays. Should I receive a payment late on a Friday, and already have been to the bank, the depositing of your check possibly will be delalyed a short period. And the same is true with respect to a check clearing late on a Wednesday, after I already have made my trip to the post office.
I usually ship using the United States Postal Service (Priority, First Class, Parcel Post, and Media mail).
When I believe it to be practical, I will combine in one box/envelope multiple same day purchases to reduce the shipping cost.
As a policy, I do not offer shipping insurance, however if an item sells for a large amount (what constitutes "large" will be determined by me), insurance will be purchased for your item, with my compliments.
Texas residents are required to pay a Sales Tax of 8.25% (bid amount only). However, if you possess a resale certificate, and wish to use it, please let me know, email me your tax number, and that amount will be waived.
Emails from me to you may or may not be completed, depending on whether or not you have a SPAM filter on your computer.
Should you be the winning bidder, and if you are pleased with your purchase, I would appreciate your leaving me Positve Feedback, and I will be happy to do the same for you.
Thank you for viewing this auction, and I appriciate your business.
