Stunning Art Deco bronze nude lady and greyhound dog magazine rack from the 1930's. It is exquisite! The deco lady is walking her dog in a half circle. The backside has a double ring, and it is attached to the front at the bottom with screws. The rack is made of bronze metal with a greenish finish. It is quite heavy, and a magnet will not stick to it. The estimated value is $850.00 according to the "Collector's Guide to Art Deco Value Guide", Second Edition, by Mary Frank Gaston, dated 2000, on Page #101 (see last picture). Our reserve is a lot lower. The overall measurement is approx 16" tall, 12" wide, and 5" deep. The piece is signed on the back of the lady but we can't make out the signature but you can still see the copyright mark (see picture). The condition is amazingly very good - shows wear and metal is bent a little on the backside (see picture). There are no chips, breaks, cracks, or repairs. It still looks great, and everything is original. This fabulous deco magazine rack came from an estate in San Francisco, and is vintage. It has a great deco look - very modernistic and unique. Pictures don't do it justice. It is truly a quality deco piece, and would make a wonderful addition to someone's collection. Buyer pays shipping and insurance.
