Welcome to my E-bay auction items.
Up for auction I am pleased to offer this Art Deco Bib.
It is engraved Sterling on the back of the bib. The bib is Art Deco era. It has a box chain attached to it. Towards the middle of the chain there are links with swirl designs and flowers on every link. The links are kind of triangle shaped. There is also open fret work. In the middle of each flower is a marcasite, and raised work. It is done very well. It is a beautiful bib.
This mark can be found in The Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers by Dorothy T. Rainwater & Martin and Colette Fuller. (Page 31)
*Herbert Cockshaw, Jr.- New York, New York. Listed in 1904 as Howard & Cockshaw Company; Herbert Cockshaw successor in 1915 and Herbert Cockshaw,
Jr. in 1936-37 in the Jobbers Handbook.
It has some rust on it and it all needs to be cleaned from use. The rust should come of easily. We started to clean it with a special pen and it removed some already.
It measures just over 16 inches long by .75 inch at the widest point. There is no marcasites missing. It is in wonderful condition.

If an item is used, it may have some dots, blemishes, scratches, dust, cracks, etc. or it may not. Do not expect used items to be exactly like a new one. IF it is new, I will state it in my description. When using paypal you must have a confirmed address.
I do not claim to be an expert on anything. I buy most of my items from estate auctions and such, so I do not know if the original owners smoked, or have had pets.
