Egyptian turquoise-green glazed faience Ibis (Thoth) amulet, human body and Ibis head, beautifully defined, Back pillar pierced for suspension.
Thoth is associated with secret knowledge, and helped to look after Horus when Isis was bringing him up.
Eventually Thoth succeeded Horus to the throne of Egypt and reigned peacefully over the land for more than 3000 years. Afterwards he took his place in the sky as the moon.
