Description:

This is a beautiful set of  six 'Shield' back solid oak original antique Arts and Crafts period dining chairs, comprising six side chairs.  The chairs stand on square tapering front legs with moulded feet, united by an "H" stretcher, having splay legs to the rear.  The chairs have plain rails with green draylon upholstered seats, with gold ticking.  Rising above this are the shield shaped backs set in a classic square frame with shaped tops to the stiles with a lovely pointed crest rail.  A lovely genuine antique Arts and Crafts period set of dining chairs.

Condition:

The chairs are in very good condition for their age, having one or two minor repairs, these of little consequence, all of the chairs firm of joint, retaining their original finish which is a lovely rich dark antique oak finish.  The traditional upholstery is later.
