This is an excellent reference for anybody interested in Arts & Crafts period design, antique dealer, or collector of hand painted porcelain.  This book, originally published in 1917, covers design and application of designs on all types of china. 

Included are details on different types of paint and materials, tools, processes for applying lithographs and copper plate designs to china, transfer pictures, and more.

This was originally published by ICS, the International Correspondence Schools, as an instructional guide for studends of their correspondence school.  The design methods are similar to those taught by Henrietta Paist through her book published by Keramic Studio, which is an exceptionally rare reference.  There is no reference to the author in the book, but this looks like it may have been produced by Paist. 

There are 15 full color plates and lots of black and white illustrations throughout the 104 page book.  All of these illustrations appear to be from Keramic Studio, which was a porcelain and pottery painting magazine from the Arts & Crafts period.  Many current designs used today including tiles made by Motawi and stencils made by Ford Craftsman Studios come from this magazine.  As you can see by the pictures below, this is a great reference for decorators or anybody else interested in the Arts & Crafts style.  This e-book was scanned at high resolution and has no printing restrictions.  Macintosh and PC Adobe Acrobat readers are included on the CD-ROM.
