Ashton Drake/Bello/Knowles Porcelain Mary & Lamb Doll


   Up for auction is a Collectible Porcelain Mary Had a Little Lamb doll from Ashton Drake. It was commissioned by Edwin M. Knowles, and Yolanda Bello is the artist. She stands approximately 14" tall, and includes 2 1/2" tall lamb, and doll stand.
    She has the date "1987 Edwin M. Knowles"on her right calf (7th photo), and the number "3098A" on her back with "Yolanda Bello" incised underneath (8th photo).
   She has a soft cloth upper body with porcelain head, and lower limbs.  She has clear green eyes and blond hair with corkscrew curls. Her cotton calico print dress is accented with capped satiny sleeves, and satin over-skirt with lace trim and appliqued flowers.Underneath she is wearing a white cotton slip over peach satiny bloomers. Her ivory bonnet is in dotted swiss fabric with grosgrain and lace trim. Her shoes are porcelain, and have an interesting feature in that the strap of the right shoe has an imprinted design, and her left shoe strap is plain (does not show very well in 6th photo).
   
   As always, all of my items come from a smoke and pet-free home.   
   Upon receiving cleared payment, your doll will immediately be carefully packaged to insure its safe arrival to you. Even though it is optional, I always encourage the purchase of the insurance that is offered. I cannot be held responsible for negligent handling by USPS.
