Beautiful Chinese Fan with Shou Lao, God of Longevity, and a Tiger with Calligraphy on reverse side.

26" x 14" in size

Shou Lao, the god of longevity is recognizable by his tall, domed head and long beard. He is believed to have lived for 1,000 years, married 19 women and outlived 54 sons. Many Chinese people pray to Shou Lao for long life and happiness. The Tiger has always featured heavily in Chinese culture and tradition. It has long been revered as a symbol of strength and power, and a subject of awe and fear.
