Asian Elephant Wall Hanging

This lovely wall hanging measures 36 inches wide by 37 inches in height.  Hand crafted in Thailand, this three dimensional art piece displays an ornately dressed elephant with sequins and beads.  Circling around the elephant is a row of sparkling cut glass orbs in alternating shades of red and green, which resembles the effect of rubies and emeralds.  Beyond this circular design are the  curved petals of the lotus represented in delicate gold-colored threading.  The border around the wall hanging is a deep cranberry red.

Only the elephant projects out from the hanging, giving a three dimensional quality to this work of art.  There is much elegant detail hand crafted into this piece and the jewel-like tones give a lasting tribute to the majestic elephant and the sacred lotus.
