FAQs |
- How identify WildCard X100P, X101P Card?
(1) Digium 1st
Generation Single FXO
port card based on Motorola Chipset.
In linux console, When you key in the command
to display this
card you will see "Wildcard x100p".
( 1st
Generation, no "Vendor ID" difference, any OEM, compatible card displays
"Wildcard X100P".)
(2) Digium 2nd
Generation Single FXO
port card based on Intel(Ambient)
Chipset. In linux console, key
in the command to display this card you will see " Wildcard
X101P" or Compatible card display "Generic
clone".
(This Vendor ID "Generic
clone "can be modified to "Wildcard X101P" in
two methods if you really care this: (1). If you are compiling
Asterisk from source, edit the zaptel/wcfxo.c file.(2).Simply
carefully remove two resistors that affects the vendor ID number
that is read from the card with a soldering iron)
- What is the difference and quality improvment
in InfoMatrix X100P(A2),(B2) compare the 1st generation?
(1) InfoMatrix X100P(A2) and X100P(B2), 2nd Generation, based
on Intel Chipset, more stable, reliable.
(2) Adapt Anti-sliding Bracket for the card, easy for card installing
and incoming line plugs to port.
(3) Quality improve a lot for the entire card, and much more
reliable.
- How are
the "Wildcard X100P/X101P" card designed ?
(1). Based on the "tech core"(DAAs,
Codecs and TDM interface), the designer was able to develop
much more functions, features even different device with the
relative drive software and applications. see the below

some single FXO port cards(Intel/Ambient chipset) on the market

Because hardware design error, it 's not related with Intel
chipset, the card does not from us
-

- How does the InfoMatrix
X100P card guarantee user get high quality voice and supports
echo cancellation ?
-
How
to apply the InfoMatrix
X100P card in the system ?
(1). First of all, Provide stable
and robust hardware system environment for this X100P
card is important. We recommend 500Mhz Pentium II or
better with 128 RAM for one InfoMatrix X100P card for
minimum (Digium recommends for WildCard X100P card:
CPU PIII 500Mhz, RAM 64MB).(I). Increase resources(provide
higher clock CPU and more RAM) if you have several X100P
cards installed in the system because all X100P cards
on the Market are non-DSP(Digital Signal Processor)
build in card so it takes a lot of power from system
CPU.(Note: The main chipset
(called DSP but short for digital signal core, processor)
passes the datadump and controller 's work to software,
which is running on system CPU)
(II). If you have a VoIP control card mixed system,
for example, have TDM card from Digium or Sangoma or
any others with the X100P card you should
calculate or evaluate the
resources your system needs, considering system performance,
call fetaures supported and capability for call times(frequent)
per minutes, SIP call or call from PSTN.... otherwise
your system be in unstable status, the data you got
was not referenced.
(2). Use stable version software to test call function,
features that InfoMatrix X100P card supported.
You can't determined whether or
not the problem from this X100P card(Hardware) or software
if unstable version software is being used .
(3). Carefully upgrade your system. Back
up all setup info, voice record. otherwise you may take
risk your IP-PBX box can't be recovered.
(4). Use UPS(Uninterruptable Power
Supply) will reduce the static and random noise for
your system.
- How to quickly test InfoMatrix X100P
card in customer side ? (the card has been fully tested in manufacturing
)
(1). Shut down the PC system, open the
closure of PC system, install one InfoMatrix X100P card to your
PC system's PCI 32-bit slot.(modern PC system, PCI Slot supports
both 3.3v and 5.0v card, for clearly to show this card, remove
network and modem card or other X100P card from your PC system
because those cards may share same IRQs or have device IRQ conflict
in testing. (how to assign or arrrange
IRQs was determineded by PC systems, not X100P card)
(2).Close PC system's closure, boot your PC system, the boot
screen in the section of hardware device was detected should
show as following: (in our test screen, yours may vary)
Bus No.| Device No.| Func No.| Vendor /Device | Class |.........
Device class......... | IRQ |
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
.....0 .............7................0..................1057..........5608......Simple
Comm. Cntrlr.......9...
this X100P card has been assigned 9 to
IRQ (IRQ9 line).
( if you can't read this line, shutdown
the system, try to plug the card to another PCI slot, Reboot
system to see if can read this line, try to 3rd and 4th slot
if can't read this line data eventually, conclusion: this is
a bad X100P card.)
(3). If the card was assigned a IRQ Number,
next, test port on the X100P card. Plug the incoming line(from
centre office or from wall at house) to line port on the X100P
card then plug an analog phone to phone port, make phone call.
if the call has been passed to the phone port , the analog phone
is ring, indicates two ports work fine.(if the call can't be
passed, you heard busy tone, the port is bad , this X100P card
is failed)
(4).If (2) and (3) testing was passed, the X100P card is OK.
If either (2) or (3) testing was failed, this X100P is defective.
