Actually there is nothing else standard with these sommelier knives than the name of the series. These knives are hand-made in Seki, Japan. The blade is made of very hard AUS-8 stainless steel. The blade is razor sharp to cut through even the most stubborn capsule. The material used in handle is very beautiful Chinese Queenwood . Metal parts in the handle are made of mixture of silver and nickel. Athro sommelier knife is extremely well balanced and pleasantly heavy. Because of these features this knife appears with very smooth opening action. Sommelier knife will be shipped in beautiful Silver/grey coloured gift box.
