This CD will allow you to affordably and quickly correct your sound system, home theater, or PA system for accurate smooth response.

Due to the irregularities of most rooms even the most expensive high end gear cannot provide accurate audio reproduction without adjustments. 1/3 Octave Pink Noise, used in conjunction with an SPL ( sound pressure level ) meter, is a quick and inexpensive option to high dollar sound analyzation equipment such as audio spectrum analyzers and calibrated microphones.

Due to numerous customer requests, primarily home audio and home theater enthusiasts, I've created the "1/3 octave PINK NOISE" test cd. This CD was designed  and tested for use with the Radio Shack SPL although other meters will work just fine.

Each track contains third octave pink noise filtered at common center frequencies. To align your audio system you must have ability to adjust groups of frequencies via an audio equalizer whether integrated with your amplifier or via external components. Many inexpensive home sound systems have a simple 'bass' and 'treble' control which is insufficient to align your sound system but you can still analyze the system as an aid in making a purchasing decision.
