We keep running out of CDs at our shows, so now we're selling them on eBay!
This is the 16-song CD from Marshall Jones and the Frontier Phrenologists, a string band that looks to the great music of America’s past while creating new sounds for the present day.
When people hear Marshall Jones and the Frontier Phrenologists for the first time, they often say that they don't like "country music," but they like this. You'll hear shades of Dock Boggs, the original Carter Family, the Kinks and Gillian Welch in these songs.
The music, some written by Jones, some from the public domain, features vocal harmonies, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, upright bass and acoustic guitar.
Samples can be heard at the band’s MySpace Page.
