Australia 1913 3d Roo, Die II
I am offering a used example of the 3d Kangaroo stamp issued by Australia in 1913 on the first watermark paper. Most of that issue had a break in the left frameline just next to the top of the "T" in the "Three Pence" (Die I). This break is repaired on the Die II. The Australian Commonwealth Specialised Catalog states there are 15x as many Die I as there are Die II. The Scott Classic Catalog lists 3 shades on this stamp as well. I can't be sure which color it is, but I lean towards the Olive Bistre (Scott cat value $90.00), the other shades are pale olive green (Cat $62.50) and green (Cat $62.50) It definitely has some olive color and it's darker than some others I have. However, it is best to bid figuring that it is one of the lower value shades. Unfortunately, the centering is pretty poor. It does have a nice cancel though.
I am starting the bidding at $4.00 with no hidden reserve.
Winning Bidder prepays and pays shipping costs of $1.00 in the US or $2.00 worldwide. California residents pay 7.25% sales tax. Payment can be made in any of the following forms: 1. PayPal 2.
