 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Direct from Ghana, this is a splendid example of authentic African clothing made by Gifted Hands Fashion of Dzorwulu Accra Ghana. NEW, never worn, in perfect condition. Good heavy material with vibrant hues of indigo and violet tie-dyed into a fabric with a tiny blazing sun design woven into it and rustic black animal prints in the foreground. I think this is called batik but not sure. Typical of the Dashiki style, there is a round neck opening, no collar, and a 4 inch vertical slit with 6 rows of stitching detail around neck opening and slit. Shirttail has 4½ inch vertical slits at each side and there is one large breast pocket. Comes from a non-smoking home. We do have a dog. Measurements (lying flat):
There is no care tag, but it feels like cotton or linen to me. I purchased it at a church bazaar so possibly brought back by a missionary.
