This well preserved rare marble portrait of a Roman female dates back to
approximately 100- 200AD.
This authentic, rare and elegant
piece of Roman history was discovered in the custody of a private antique
collector in Sidon, south of Beirut in an extremely well preserved manner. It is
obvious by observing the pictures presented that this piece has withstood the
stress of time and has been well preserved. By looking at the subject from the
front angle, it is clear that the face and head have been gorgeously crafted.
Exquisite, flamboyant, brilliant and remarkably elegant, this wonderful artifact
with its beautiful and clear features would surely serve as a marvelous item of
decoration in your rich collection.
