I had occasion to write to President Ford a number of years ago. In my letter, I made an argument that the Warren Commission (of which Ford was a member) was wrong in their conclusions about the death of President Kennedy. A month or so later, I received his reply, which is offered here. It is a rather terse note on the unlined sidfe of an index card: "The Warren Commission's conclusions were right in 1964 and are today." President Ford then signed the note with just his initials as GRF, a relatively rare form of his signature. Autograph notes signed (ANS) are highly desirable and collectible. ANS related to a president's assassination almost never appear on the market. This is a wonderful piece with significant historical content and is in near mint condition.
