You are bidding on one ounce of TRUE BLACK raw alpaca fiber, PRIME ROYAL BABY blanket. The staple length is 3+ inches,  and it is VERY soft too.  This is a first shearing from one of my best show males who is starting to rack up the ribbons across the country at the alpaca shows. The feel of the fleece is very "yummy"!!!  There is a total of 5 ounces (approx.) available (but I have another 2 lb. fleece that is nearly as nice)and the winning bidder will tell me how many ounces they want to buy.  This fleece is nice and shiney, and I am sure it will make some wonderful TRUE black yarns.  There are NO WHITE FIBERS in this prime blanket.  Great for spinning, FANTASTIC for felting! Black that is soft is very hard to find as black is usually the coarsest of the alpaca colors.  I breed alpacas and have over 70 animals to take care of.  I specialize in black and grey, show quality alpacas.   samples available!
