BACH STRADIVARIUS MODEL 36 Tenor Trombone: .525" bore; 8" one-piece yellow brass bell. Standard weight slide. Serial No. 49762, making the date of manufacture in the early 1980s (1982-ish). In good cosmetic condition – great playing condition.
PLAYABILITY: This horn has a warm, well-focused sound with a free blowing upper register.
SLIDE SECTION: The slide was recently tuned up by the Slide Dr., and is great - very smooth (I’ll send the “discharge papers” with the horn). The inner tubes show very little wear, and there is no wear through on the chrome. The outer slide has some lacquer wear spots on the slide braces (where it’s held) and the lacquer is worn on the outer slides (thanks to the famous Bach lacquer).
BELL SECTION: There are no dents, but some scratches and very few small pings and dings. The lacquer is not worn on the gooseneck. The tuning slide is smooth.
ACCESSORIES: Included is a Bach 12C mouthpiece – the finish is o.k. (except the shank), but there are some light gouges on the rim and the shank is not round. The stock Bach brown square case is also included. It’s in good cosmetic shape, but there are two broken hinges.
