Barbara Steele was born on December 19, 1938 in Trenton Wirrall, England & known for her ability
to take on the appearance of the classic seductive vampire without any makeup
Her large eyes & black tresses combined with her seductive smile
captured horror fans around the world, she was mysterious, unique, & hauntingly beautiful
Barbara is probably best known for her role in Mario Bava's 1960 cult horror hit
'Black Sunday', where she became known as the quintessential film Witch

Barbara also appeared or starred in ~ The Mask of the Demon(1960), The Horrible Dr. Hitchcock (1962),
8 1\2 (1962), Castle of Blood (1963) aka Castle of Terror, The Long Hair of Death (1964),

The Crimson Cult (1968), Caged Heat (1974), Shivers (1975) aka They Came from Within,
Pretty Baby (1978), Piranha (1978), Silent Scream (1979), & The Capitol Conspiracy (1999) to name but a few
Barbara was also an associate producer & supporting player in 1983s Winds Of War, & Produced 1989s
War and Remembrance ~ She has also appeared in TV episodes of, Alfred Hitchcock
Presents (1961) TV Episode "Beta Delta Gamma", I Spy, & a revival of the 60s horror soap Dark Shadows,
& appeared in Clive Barkers A-Z Of Horror in 1997
Barbara is now over 60, still gorgeous & occasionally takes a part here & there
