Barbra Streisand (1942 - ) What chance did this little girl growing up in Flatbush have of being a showbiz dynamo? Every chance if this little girl had the giant talent of Barbra Streisand. She started singing in the Village and first appeared on Broadway in 1962. Then in 1964 she starred in the story of Fanny Brice. In 1968 she took this role to the silver screen. Barbra shines bright in the gallaxy of the stars.
This started with an actual life cast mask of Barbra Streisand. Then it has been sculpturaly enhanced by me Erick Erickson.
The Hair and eye brows have been added to create a very lifelike display.
I sculpted the eyes open showing expresion.
All of the original detail of the historic cast has been preserved.
So the work of art you get has a direct link to Barbra Streisand.
It's like having Babs right there with you.
I am a fan and do what I do with love that you can see in the final work of art.
I Listened to the Essential Barbra Streisand CD while I sculpted to further infuse the spirit of Barbra Streisand.
The finnished piece is cast in USG's Tuf-Cal gypsum cement, it is fiber filled and has polymer additves to assure it will last forever.
It measures 10.5" High X 9" Wide X 7" Deep.
It is aproximatly 6.5 pounds unpacked.
It is finished in Oscar Gold with makeup. then rubbed with an antiquing overlay to bring out the detail.
The piece is then sealed with a clear coat to preserve the finish.
Each mask comes with hanging instructions and the screw. Or it can be displayed on the optional stand.
