THIS IS A SEVEN DAY, NO RESERVE, AND INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIBLE BRIAR PIPE AUCTION.PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW ALL OF THE OTHER BEAUTIFUL, NEW, OR FULLY RESTORED AND RECONDITIONED HIGH GRADE COLLECTIBLE PIPES THAT I HAVE LISTED FOR AUCTION THIS WEEK ON EBAY!You are bidding on a barley formerly enjoyed, Barling's Make "Guinea Grain"pipe. It is stamped as an EL in size, and "EB" (Edward Barling). It is not stamped with a shape number. "Barling's" is stamped in script. As most advanced pipe collectors already know, the Guinea Grain series of Barling pipes were the only pipes of the pre-transitional period that had "Barling's" stamped in script. All others were stamped "Barling's Make" in block. This classic Barling "Prince" shaped briar is in extremly clean, crisp, and pristine condition. The straight grain that flows around the bowl is gorgeous! This Barling pipe is a treasure, both from the standpoint of condition and grain. This pipe was carved from old aged prime Algerian briar. There are many pipe aficianados who consider the Barling pipes to be the very best performing pipes that were ever made in the history of briar pipe manufacture! (Pipe maker Jim Cooke is one of them!) The overall balance feels very nice as does the hand feel. The draft is easy and a pipe cleaner will pass to the bottom of the bowl. This is one well made classic in clean condition! This one is a "for the ages" classic!
This pipe needed only the most superficial of a cleaning and sanitization, since it was in fabulous condition when I had received it. This pipe is in a clean, crisp, and issue free condition that is ready to deliver immediate enjoyment right out of the box! The Barling "Cross" can still be seen on the original stem, but the white logo material has been rubbed away, but the logo can still be clearly seen. Here are the dimensions: The overall length is about 6.30". The bowl height is 1.30". The tobacco chamber is about 0.75" in diameter, and very gradually tapers down the bowl's 1.20" inner depth. Capacity is similar to a Group 4 size Dunhill pipe. This beautiful, elegant and classic Barling pipe weighs 38 grams.
Once again, this is a seven day no reserve pipe auction. I do not believe in "Reserve" or "Buy it Now" prices. I want the lucky high bidder to own and enjoy this pipe and not have him frustrate himself with bidding on a pipe that is not attainable on a price basis! Just be the high bidder at the close of this auction, and you will win what could again prove to be the best pipe in your collection! Please read and review my eBay ratings and comments. Check out the "ME" section after my eBay name "coopersark". I think that you will find this information very informative and telling! Please feel free to send me an e-mail with any questions that you may have about this pipe. I want you to bid with the highest of confidence! I use only the best of packaging materials. The pipes that I ship have too much time and labor lavished on their restoration and presentations as well as the many of these pipes are irreplaceable works of art. I am not going to risk damage by using lesser packing. (In my nine years of selling pipes on eBay and shipping thousands of pipes around the world, not a single pipe has been damaged!) I also try my utmost to ship your pipe the same day that I receive your payment, even if this means making a special trip to the Post Office just for you alone. The Registered parcels that ship overseas take extensive time with both the packaging and four forms of documentation that must be filled out. Unfortunately, this all has to be reflected in my shipping costs, so please bid accordingly. The winning bidder will include an additional $10.00 for Priority Mail shipping, tracking, and insurance. (Foreign bidders will remit payment by Pay Pal ONLY and will include an additional $12.00 for International Air Mail shipping. ) Thank you for your interest. Please do not forget to check out my other auctions! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
