BARNACLE LADEN LOBSTER OR CRAB POT BUOY NET FLOAT

This is a beachcombed crab pot buoy found on the Washington coast this last winter. It is covered with barnacles. We have dried this buoy for over 5 months now so there is no more foul smells! Some of the barnacles will fall of during shipment but most will be just fine. We just like to warn everyone that a few will submit to USPS handling. It is made from Styrofoam and measures approx. 11-12" long and 5-6" wide.  It has the original rope running through it for easy hanging! These floats were used for the Dungeness Crab industry. They would mark where the crab pot traps were for the crab boats to pull the pots back up. They seldom break loose unless we have a huge storm. What's great about these is they are Styrofoam so they weigh less than the old wood ones and will last forever. This one is in good beachcombed condition. Looks very nautical! It would look great hanging on a fence, porch, or a room with a nautical theme.
