For auction is a pretty Barratts of Staffordshire England Trio.
Each piece has an all over gold gilt floral pattern with yellow and purple/blue daisies(I think they are daisies) with a thick gold gilt rim. Inside the cup is a purple and an orange flower.
Stamped to base: Barratts' of Staffordshire Made in England. In the middle of that is a globe with Regency.
Barratts of Staffordshire is one of the oldest Factories in Burslem and belonged for two centuries to the Wedgwood Family.
From what I have found out this trio dates from the 1940's+.
MEASUREMENTS:
Cup: 6.8cm high x 8cm across.
Saucer: 14cm across.
Plate: 17.5cm across.
CONDITION:
Very Good Condition with no chips, cracks, repairs nor any crazing. All the colour and gold gilt is intact. There is a couple of very small round manufacturing bumps underglaze around the edge of the plate and one on the rim of the cup.
I have 4 sets of these up for auction so there may be very small round manufacturing bumps underglaze on other pieces too. No pieces have any chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. Some have no utensil marks and some saucers or plates may have a slight clean utensil mark/s when put on an angle and seen in the light. Also some pieces have the green backstamp and others have the same backstamp, but in black.
