Estate Sale Bavaria Handpainted porcelain muffineer shaker. No chips or cracks. The colors are so pretty. No stopper on the bottom but it does have a cotton ball on the inside with a pair of tweezers you can get it out and try to find a stopper for it. The little shaker measures 3 1/2 inches tall. I do not know the name of the flower. It is marked on the bottom Bavaria. Have any questions please ask. Shipping weight for this item is 4 oz. with box and packing. A muffineer is essentially a salt shaker; it's a small container with a perforated top which is used to shake out powders like sugar, salt, and talc in a controlled way. You may also hear a muffineer referred to as a caster or castor, depending on regional dialect, and of course it is perfectly acceptable to call a muffineer a shaker, since that's what it is.
