THIS IS TRULY A BEAUTIFUL ARMORIAL TEA POT FROM THE 1700'S.
THIS TEA POT HAS A SUPERB ARMORIAL CREST ON BOTH SIDES, NOT TO MENTION THE WONDERFUL MOLDED SPOUT AND HANDLE. IN ADDITION, THIS PIECE STILL RETAINS THE ORIGINAL LID WITH A FINE FINIAL. THE CONDITION OF THIS TEA POT IS GREAT WITH NO CRACKS OR REPAIRS AND ALMOST NO RUBBING TO THE CREST. THE RIM HAS SOME FRITTING WHERE THE LID SITS, WHICH IS CONSISTENT WITH AGE. THE POT MEASURES 5 1/2" HIGH.
