| Movie description | Recorded in October 2004 at Harlem's most famous venue, BEN HARPER AND THE BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA - LIVE AT THE APOLLO THEATER features the popular college-radio singer backed by a traditional gospel group. The concert was part of a larger collaboration between the two, which included a full tour and a joint album. Combining both Harper's regular songs, where his usual band, the Innocent Criminals, also appeared to play, and more customary gospel numbers, the team-up proved successful despite the disparity of music played by both parties. LIVE AT THE APOLLO THEATER captures a live performance that showcases two unique and distinct acts combining their considerable creative powers.
