DOMESTIC SHIPPING POLICY:

SHIPPING AND HANDLING will be calculated using the provided shipping calculator. Once payment has been received, your order will be processed and shipped out within 3 business days. My auctions end on Friday and I ship out the bulk of my packages on Wednesday morning. Any payments received between Wednesday and Thursday may not be shipped out until Friday. If you are sending a MONEY ORDER please either include your item number on the money order or include a copy of the item details from eBay with your payment to insure prompt service. I DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS!!! I only offer combined shipping on items won during the same week.

INTERNATIONL SHIPPING POLICY:

SHIPPING AND HANDLING will be calculated using the provided shipping calculator. I "WILL NOT" ship to an international address without a PHONE NUMBER . I pay for my postage online through the United States Postal Service website. It does not allow me to complete an international transaction without a PHONE NUMBER. Once PAYMENT and aPHONE NUMBER have been received your order will be processed and shipped within 3 business days. I only offer combined shipping on items won during the same week.

INSURANCE POLICY:

I strongly encourage you to purchase shipping insurance! If you choose not to purchase insurance and the item is damaged in transit, we will not be held responsible and no refund will be issued. The amount charged for insurance will be calculated automatically at the end of the auction. If for some reason you can not add insurance to your order please contact me BEFORE you complete your checkout process.

All packages will be shipped USPS Priority Mail. During checkout the buyer may choose any optional shipping method that we offer.

International:

By default, any package over 4 pounds will be shipped PRIORITY MAIL INTERNATIONAL. Any package under 4 pounds will be shipped AIRMAIL LETTER 

Thank you for inquiring about my shipping & handling charges. These are often misunderstood because there is often more to it than first comes to mind and you tend to get what you pay for.

I love working with antiques and I post as many on Ebay as I can. Because many of the items I find are "one of a kind" and, therefore, not easily replaced, I try very hard to see that every item is carefully packaged and arrives at its new home in good condition.

My experience has been that once an auction is over, buyers are very eager to see their new purchase and want it as soon as possible. I try to get the items shipped right away. We have received many complimentary feedback messages from customers praising and thanking us for getting items safely to their new homes in a timely manner.

In order to have more time to focus on the antiques, I have a clerk to help with shipping. Shipping and handling charges need to cover the actual shipping charges as well as the time and expense involved with obtaining various shipping supplies, working with suppliers and preparing the package for shipment. These charges also need to cover the wages, taxes, supplies, tools and other expenses of having a clerk.

A shipping calculator is included in each of our auctions to give you the shipping & handling cost to your location. Our hope and expectation is that each potential bidder will factor in the bid price and shipping & handling charge to arrive at the true cost of the item BEFORE making a bid. Only the bidder can know whether that cost is acceptable to them. We don’t want to surprise a bidder any more than a bidder wants to be surprised.
