You are bidding on a section of a very old Manuscript hand-written Torah Scroll Fragment in the Original Hebrew Language on Deer Parchment. This hand-written fragment is approximately 500++ years old and made from Deer skin. The scroll came from Yemen and written according to the early Yemenite custom.
Due to its age and extreme delicacy of material and need for careful handling the fragment has been framed in order to be preserved for centuries to come.
The Parchment has a beautiful deep warm reddish brown color, this is due to the deer parchment used and the process in making the scroll. Scrolls of this type are no longer made and the process for making these distinctive scrolls has been lost over the centuries
This Torah fragment is prized for its beauty of its soft Deer parchment and its writing. The parchment holds its ink well and the letters remain black and easy to read.
