BIG & HEAVY 18s WALTHAM HUNTER (1880) 4 OZ SILVER CASE!

"Greetings!"  Up for bids, is a 18 size Waltham Hunting Watch! Serial# 1,561,817, dates this original

timepiece to "1880."  The still brightly gilded model 1879, 11 jewel, lever set movement is running fine

 (just serviced!) and keeping very good time! (checked in a 12 hour period!) This movement is only marked

"Reliable." The name is not listed in Shugart's guide to watches! The Waltham database has this serial

number listed as a model 1877 William Ellery "keywind"... which it is not!  Interesting to say the least!

Up front, the original Roman porcelain dial is very good, showing some light hairlines! The dial is com-

plimented by a fine set of original blued spade hands!  The impressive, original Dueber "4 ounce" Coin

Silver Case is also nice condition, showing some wear & use! The case functions fine! The total weight of
