| Probably the most lacking area in sample library production is bass; at least for most sound designers. Project Absolute Bass TM was initiated to replenish this abandoned deficiency. Since the competition seemed weak, with most bass sample libraries manufactured nearly a decade ago, Inertia brought in six selected studio bass guitarists, keyboardists, and sound designers to introduce an extreme modern touch. Producers wanted to impress musicians of 2004, not 1994. What did it take? Well, excluding the sample assigning, filtering and paramaters, around twenty-four handpicked and adjusted instruments along with nearly 900 hours of recording work. What did make? The most common problem was the similarity of tone that occurred throughout the changing of notes on regular guitar sound programs.
