"I planned a pool table party for the 4th of July and sent out invitations a few weeks in advance. I ordered my table less than two weeks before the 4th. I called BilliardEx and was assured that I could have a pool table safely by then. I was more than a little nervous that all my friends would come over and there wouldn't be anything to do! The pool table showed up on the 1st of July, several days ahead of time and oooh was it worth the anxiety!"
—Jackie - Atlanta GA
"I was nervous about buying a table that I couldn't see or touch. I had heard good things about BilliardEx and decided to order. I couldn't be happier with the table and my wife loves it."
—Steve - Austin, TX
"I bought this table as a gift for my husband. I can't believe how quickly it came and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the table looks just like the picture and the finish is even prettier."
—Christa - Cleveland, OH
"We bought the table for our kids and have ended up playing a lot as a family. The table looks so good in our basement and it has been so much fun for our kids and their friends. Thanks for all your help."
—The Smith's - Ft. Lauderdale, FL
"This table is the sweetest thing I have ever seen!"
Solid Wood
The best-built pool tables on the market will use solid wood for ALL of their wood components. Solid wood support joints ensure your table will stay true for many years to come.
Slate
1. All Spencer Marston (SM) tables include three-piece, one-inch thick slate with a three-quarter inch wood lining. Tournament tables at events sanctioned by the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) are required to meet these same specifications.
2. The slate is one inch thick in large part for its durability and weight. The heavy slate weighs the table down so that the table is not easily bumped or moved. One inch thick slate is very durable but it's also expensive and that's why a lot of companies sell tables with thinner slate.
3. Three piece slate is mandated by the BCA and makes the table easier to set up without damaging the slate and helps make the table easier to level.
4. Wood slate lining is an important part of the slate that a lot of inferior tables don't have. The lining helps the slate fit to the cabinet snugly, it allows the felt to be stapled around the slate instead of glued and it makes the table play a little more quietly.
Rail Construction
1. The cushions are one of the most important components of a quality table. All of our cushions are made from 100% natural gum rubber. Gum rubber is a natural material that provides consistent rebound and a long service life. All Spencer Marston (SM) tables feature cushions made completely from natural gum rubber with out fillers or additives.
2. All SM rails are made of solid hardwood. A specially-made floating nut plate is used inside each rail to provide a solid anchor for the rail bolts to pull the rails into position on the table. Unlike Brunswick's floating nut plate, the unique design of the SM nut plate will never allow the nut to spin and unlike Olhausen's insert, it will never pull out. The engineers at SM are peerless in this aspect.
3. All SM rails are made with the use of a CNC machine which is the only way to achieve the consistency required for a high quality, uniform rail. At SM, every rail is the same. Because your table will have six rails, you'll be glad that they all act the same.
Frame Construction
1. All Spencer Marston (SM) tables feature metal on metal contacts. This is a very important feature that most companies never discuss. Each screw that holds the cabinet together actually screws into a metal insert that is placed in the wood of the cabinet. This means that the cabinet can be taken apart and put back together many times without wearing out the cabinet. Because the metal insert holes are drilled by a CNC machine, the cabinet is assembled perfectly square every time it is put together. If you ask a competitor about this, they may not know what to say so prepare for a blank stare.
2. Unless the legs are extremely oversized, all SM tables feature double interlocking center beams. This added measure of strength is expensive which is why very few competitors do it. Without the aid of NASA, it is easy to understand the benefits of two center beams.
"Top Quality! This is the place to buy with confidence! My installers couldn’t believe what I paid for the table and said it was of the highest quality. 100% impressed!"

Shipping Requirements
Pool tables are big and heavy. They are delivered to your home in a large moving van. Your home must be accessible by a tractor/trailer that is 28' in length and 14' tall and you must have a paved driveway (for a pallet jack or dolly). If your home is not accessible by a truck of this size, you can arrange to pick up your table in a local parking lot such as a grocery store. The table will fit in a full-size pickup truck. Please notify us if alternative delivery is needed.
Returns
Your pool table, fully-crated weighs close to 1000 pounds. Shipping something as big and heavy as a pool table is very expensive and represents a significant portion of the cost of your investment. The cost of returning a table is not much less than the cost of the table itself. The cost to return a table in its original condition and in its original packaging is $1184. Only tables that are palletized, banded and shrunk wrap with all boxes in tact and the slate fully crated will be considered for return. All sales are final from the time of purchase. There will be no full refunds; all refunds are subject to the retrun fee of $1184. Please evaluate issues such as personal finances, space requirements, family issues and other peripheral issues before purchasing a pool table.
*Due to higher labor costs for delivery, there are specific zip codes (in the New York City/Long Island NY area and the Boston MA area) that carry a $250 delivery surcharge. We do all we can do keep our shipping costs down. If you are in one of the specified zip codes, we will contact to try to arrange an alternative delivery if possible.
