BITMO ANT EATER MOD KIT - FOR BLACKHEART KILLER ANT AMP

The Blackheart Killer Ant BH1H is (almost!) 1 watt, single-ended, class A amp sporting 12AX7 tubes for both preamp and power tube. This thing sounds fantastic and has become one of my favorite amps!

The circuit board is a great platform for modding with good components, wide spacing and robust traces.

The BitMo Ant Eater mod kit contains all parts and instructions for the mods which make the amp much more versatile by adding an a full range tone control will a pull boost switch, and a late-stage line out which captures that great power tube overdrive!

This amp is perfect for recording or as a pre-amp into a bigger amp or straight into a PA board.

(Use the Line Out into an FX box then into another amp or PA.)

All voicings are very touch sensitive and great across the full range of the volume control going from warm or sparkly clean to balzout overdrive with lots of interesting shades in between.

The modded amp works well with the standard 12AX7 tubes but is even better (more clean headroom and louder!) with a lower gain 12AY7 or 12AU7 for the power tube (not included).

Assumptions, warnings, etc:

·            While these modifications are very easy to do and reversible, if you solder them in, you will void your warrantee.

·            Tools needed: screwdriver, knife, soldering iron, rosin core solder, wire stripper, needle nose pliers, drill and bits.

·            I consider these mods to be of moderate complexity.
